The City Council guarantees the safety of citizens with the maintenance of the 82 defibrillator teams located in sports facilities (10/07/2020)

| The Government Board approves the maintenance service of these teams located in pavilions, soccer fields, sports centers and municipal swimming pools | The Governing Board today approved the specifications of the particular administrative clauses and technical prescriptions for the hiring, through a simplified open procedure, of the maintenance service for defibrillators in sports facilities of the Murcia City Council for a price of 19,844 euros for a term of one year.The purpose of this contract is to keep the defibrillator teams located in a total of 82 sports facilities, such as pavilions, soccer fields, sports centers, municipal swimming pools, as well as the Monte Romero Stadium located in the Campos de Espinardo, in good condition.The Sports Service of the Murcia City Council, dependent on the Department of Sports and Health, directed by Felipe Coello, launched this contract with the aim of guaranteeing the health of users, taking into account that access to defibrillation is essential to overcome sudden death, in compliance with Decree 349/2007, of November 9, which regulates the use of external semi-automatic defibrillators by non-medical personnel in the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.The Sports Service offers a teaching program in which more than 14,000 direct management positions are offered for sports.

The consistory thus promotes the practice of sport as a healthy way of life and guarantees the users of sports facilities continuity in the public services provided, which include activities for all ages with full guarantees in terms of health and prevention..
