For Nevado, "the model of centers for the elderly is solid and deeply rooted.

These facilities constitute a network of 78 social centers that are self-managed by members who exercise something as important as participation, so it seems to us a mistake that since the Department of Elders does not value this model and intends to destroy it by establishing another that steals the beneficiaries' prominence and makes them mere recipients of activities.

" Likewise, the socialist councilor believes that to implement this new model it will be necessary to have a large staff that acts as coordinators and we do not know with what professional profile, although from the Municipal Socialist Group we consider it more peremptory to increase the number of educators because we will thus achieve provide more on-site activities.

" Likewise, he recalls that "in our electoral program we bet that the centers for the elderly would have an administrator who would help the boards of directors to keep the accounts and, above all, lend them a hand with the electronic administration."
