| The activity is part of the actions developed by the Department of Education and Infant Schools within the #MurciaMiCiudadEnCasa program due to the state of alarm | The City Council promotes the implementation of training programs that contribute to improving the development of the boys and girls of the municipality, as well as the construction of safe spaces for the development of educational activity. From the beginning of the state of alarm, the Department of Education and Infant Schools, which Belén López directs, adapted its educational offer # MurciaMiCiudadEnseña to current circumstances, turning it into a program of varied resources to work from home.Among the actions, the drawing contest 'When we had to stay at home' was born, in which a total of 33 schoolchildren, between 4 and 12 years old, from public and concerted districts such as La Ñora, Llano de Bruges or Beniaján and Murcia.
The objective of this initiative has been for children to express their experiences during confinement through a drawing."Aware of the workload they develop at home and the circumstances we are experiencing, this activity has been a way for students to express their emotions, thoughts and interests through plastic creations about the situation we were experiencing", Belén López explains.Among the drawings, the collaboration of the Nuestra Señora de Belén school stands out, where all the students of a Primary classroom have participated, as an activity proposed by their teacher. Many of the works allude to the situation of the pandemic with phrases such as' Do not leave home ',' Stay home ',' We will get it ', and even with messages about things they will do after confinement, such as' Riding by bike 'or' Go see the mountains', among others.
The participants also remember the figure of the toilets in their creations and the moments lived in family. The drawings are available on the murciaeducadora.net website and on the Facebook and Flickr channels.#MurciaMiCiudadEnCasaThe Department of Education and Nursery Schools, through the Education Service, has been offering every week various resources and activities to continue learning with the help of the family through the #MurciaMiCiudadEnCasa program.Schoolchildren have had a host of actions at their disposal, such as virtual tours to discover the Rolli Palaces, Renaissance and Baroque jewels in the city of Genoa, or the Real Casino de Murcia, one of the most emblematic buildings in the capital of Segura .Students have also been able to learn about the birth of the city of Segura or the walls of Medieval Murcia and resources to improve reading comprehension and to understand the recycling process.
