This non-invasive system allows to inject a substance into the trees that absorb up to the sap and that acts against pests, specifically the processionary and larvae, without causing any damage to the specimen and helping to conserve the environmentThe Murcia City Council, through the Department of Urban Development and Administration Modernization led by José Guillén, carries out the application of endotherapy in the municipality.
This non-invasive system allows a substance to be injected into the trees that absorb up to the sap and that acts against pests, specifically the processionary and larvae, without causing any damage to the specimen.A technique that is complemented by the placement of small plugs in the holes made in the tree so that it is fully protected. The application of this technique has a proven efficacy superior to that applied by the specimen spraying system since it is estimated that the product will last within 2 years."Our commitment is to improve the quality of life of the residents, keeping the green areas in perfect conditions so that they can be enjoyed by all, in complete safety.
Furthermore, with this technique we achieve zero environmental impact," says José Guillén.These works have been carried out for several weeks in more than 250 eucalyptus trees in the municipality of Murcia, thus preventing these works from being carried out by air, achieving zero environmental impact. To carry out these tasks, we have all the necessary elements and safety equipment for the correct handling of this type of substance.
In addition, the professionals of the Park and Garden Service have been trained in endotherapy.
