| Once the evaluation process has been completed, the Secretary of State for Tourism will issue an extraordinary and additional mark to the quality seal that guarantees destination safety | This Thursday, the first evaluations have begun, by qualified external personnel, to ensure that good practices against COVID-19 are complied with in SICTED companies and services in Murcia and to obtain the safety mark at destination.
Among the first establishments visited by the evaluator, the Science and Water Museum, the University Museum, the Real Casino de Murcia, the Craft Center, Dianthus, Momo, Aldaba, Conexión Cultura, tourist guides, Murcia tourist offices and Terra Natura.The main objective pursued by the initiative of the Secretary of State for Tourism is to generate confidence and security both in residents and in national and international visitors who visit Murcia.
It is about complying with good practices against COVID-19, with specifications for service, cleaning and disinfection, maintenance and risk management, aimed at hundreds of Murcian companies and services distinguished with the 'Tourism Quality Commitment' brand.These good practices have been developed by the Integral System of Tourist Quality in Destinations (SICTED) so that their establishments can apply them and offer their services with the maximum guarantee of safety and recover tourism in the most efficient, safe and sustainable way.This evaluation process that has started today in Murcia will serve to verify the optimal and complete compliance with all the measures to be applied to obtain the "Establishment prepared for COVID-19" badge, once the Secretary of State for Tourism issues this additional distinction, which will appear next to the SICTED seal of quality at destination."By obtaining this extraordinary badge, we are offering quality and safety to residents, as well as to national and international visitors who come to Murcia.", Highlighted the head of Tourism, Economic Promotion and Employment, Pedro García Rex, who thanks "the degree of commitment to the quality and safety of the destination of the companies and services that have been evaluated and those that will shortly be valued"."To regain the trust of visitors, it is essential that all links in the value chain of the tourism sector incorporate hygiene-sanitary measures and focus their efforts on making Murcia a safe tourist destination," said mayor Pedro García Rex .
