The City Council, through the Department of Education and Nursery Schools, carries out the Works Plan in Educational Centers in order to conserve and maintain these spaces in perfect condition for their correct functionality for the beginning of the course.The Murcia City Council continues with the improvement of infrastructure in districts for the structuring of the municipality through the renovation of its sports facilities, senior centers, green areas and schools.The Department of Education and Nursery Schools, led by Belén López, is working on the Work Plan for Educational Centers this summer in order to conserve and maintain these infrastructures in perfect condition for their correct functionality for the beginning of the course. Specifically, the actions at CEIP Juan Carlos I, with a budget of 48,398 euros, focus on the reform of the feminine cleaning of the patio, repairs on roofs and floorings of the patio, as in the Primary classroom, as well as other specific reforms distributed throughout the center."The works in the educational centers of the municipality are already underway with the aim that these spaces can open their doors in September in perfect condition," explains Belén López.Likewise, the Juan Carlos I school in Llano de Brujas is within the action plan for the removal of fiber cement roofs that the town hall will carry out over the next four years.

Specifically, this center is part of the works for the first biennium, 2020-2021.Plan of Works in Educational Centers 2020The City Council has started the Plan of Works in Educational Centers for this year, which will be endowed with 2,000,300 euros and will be carried out in a total of 80 public schools in Murcia and districts. The actions are encompassed in two in two large blocks: maintenance and improvement of the services and benefits of the educational centers, where there are also the actions promoted by the Municipal Boards, and, on the other hand, investment and renovation of sports facilities.It should be noted that this plan is the result of the work coordinated by the Department of Education and Nursery Schools, districts and neighborhoods and Sports and Health.The improvement actions focus on the repair of the roofs, some of them damaged by DANA, as well as the affected interior areas, the reform of toilets, replacement and renovation of doors, specific repairs of masonry, plumbing and carpentry, replacement of deteriorated elements, etc.As for sports works, the replacement of sports courts, goal repair, laying and renovation of the pavement, as well as the repainting of the game lines are some of the actions carried out since January and that will be carried out in the rest of schools during the summer months.
