The Councilor for the Elderly, Disability and Development Cooperation, Paqui Pérez, has called all political groups at the Mayor's Table held this noon to present the draft on the de-escalation protocol for the reopening of the social centers. This document, on which the Senior Citizen Service has been working for weeks, contains various considerations regarding compliance with sanitary hygiene and safety measures; and other actions related to the suspension of certain services and activities and provision of other alternatives to guarantee the security of the members at the time of the reopening of the social centers. The Department of Elders will present the draft on the de-escalation protocol next week to the members of the Boards of Directors of the 76 social centers of the municipality so that they can make their contributions.
"It is a participatory process in which the elderly will be able to transfer any type of consideration that they deem appropriate and that serves to complement the draft prepared by the service," said Councilor Paqui Pérez,Likewise, the head of the Elderly has insisted on the need to maintain caution and appeal to the personal responsibility of each partner to comply with the measures that the future de-escalation protocol finally establishes.
"Organizing prevention actions and guaranteeing the safety of the elderly against possible sources of contagion and spread of the disease is our top priority."
