| This environmental and transformation project covers a million square meters and will involve the creation of new green spaces and family areas, metropolitan parks, new river accesses and pedestrian connection walkways | The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, together with the Councilor for Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, José Guillén, the Councilor for Sustainable Mobility and Youth, Rebeca Pérez, and the Councilor for Sustainable Development and Huerta, Antonio Navarro, presents tomorrow Monday the environmental and transformation project 'Murcia Río II', which encompasses the creation of new green spaces and family areas, as well as two new metropolitan parks, new river accesses and the creation of new walkways that will connect both banks, facilitating the connection between the neighbors and with an important symbolic value, becoming new urban references.The presentation of the plan will take place tomorrow Monday, at 11:15 am in the Teniente Flomesta Garden, with which the City Council starts the environmental and transformation project 'Murcia Río II', which encompasses a million square meters.Among the actions to be carried out along 14 districts and 27 km of river bed, the restoration of old specks, the creation of naturalized parks in green areas immediately next to the river bed, the creation of agroecological river terraces and new access roads also stand out.
