| The works are part of the 2019-2020 Investment Plan, endowed with 13 million euros, of which 9.1 million, more than 70% of the total are already underway | The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, along with the councilor for Sustainable Development and Huerta, Antonio Navarro, the councilor for Neighborhoods and districts, Marco Antonio Fernández, and the director of Aguas de Murcia, Rafael Gómez, supervised this morning the works that are being taking place in Sangonera La Seca, where the municipal company works on the expansion of the sanitation network on Avenida de Lorca.This action is part of the Aguas de Murcia Investment Plan for the 2019-2020 period, endowed with 13 million euros, through the execution of 63 projects.

Of the 13 million euros, a total of 9.1 million are already in execution, which represents more than 70% of the total amount."This is a plan that bets on employment, generating 1,500 direct jobs, and improving the quality of life for residents of the neighborhoods and districts of Murcia, through projects to expand the water supply network and works to improve sanitation, "said José Ballesta during his visit to Sangonera La Seca.This action –which includes the section located between Calle Jerusalem and Calle Aviación Española on Avenida de Lorca–, covers a total of 36 homes and businesses.

In addition to providing sewerage service to the homes and premises located on said avenue, which is characterized by the number of industrial establishments it presents, directly benefiting more than 150 residents, the drinking water network has been renewed in different sections .This action, which will mean an improvement in the supply of drinking water in said area, also includes the suppression of the existing septic tanks in this environment, ending the environmental impact they generated.To carry out the works, it is worth highlighting the coordination between Aguas de Murcia and the Air Force Base, guaranteeing accessibility to the Base at all times, as well as coordination with ADIF, since in the area of ??action there is Various works of this entity are scheduled –in the section of the Aviación Española street of the Avenida de Lorca– and, in addition, the creation of an underpass is planned that will allow access to said Base.Upcoming performances in Puente Tocinos, Cabezo de Torres and Llano de BrujasIn the first six months of 2020 the municipal company Aguas de Murcia has acted in the districts of Beniaján, Zarandona, Algezares, Rincón de Seca, El Puntal, Nonduermas, Monteagudo and in the West Industrial Estate of the San Ginés district, as well as in the neighborhoods of Infante Juan Manuel and Santa Eulalia."The structuring and efficiency of public services, so that all Murcians enjoy the best benefits regardless of where they live, is a priority for the Municipal Corporation," recalled José Ballesta.

The next works will be carried out in the districts of Puente Bacon, Cabezo de Torres and Llano de Brujas.The works of the Investment Plan 2019-2020 correspond 62% to works to improve sanitation, while the remaining 38% are related to works in the supply network.
