| The councilor for Education and Nursery Schools, Belén López, has visited this educational center today in the that the conditioning of the toilets and the execution of the steps of the rear access to the building will be carried out, among other actions | The Councilor for Education and Nursery Schools, Belén López, today visited the Santa Rosa de Lima school in El Palmar on the occasion of the start of the works to be undertaken in this center during the summer.Specifically, among the actions that will be carried out are the reform of the toilets, as well as the demolition and new execution of the steps of the rear access of the main building.The project, with a budget of 47,445 euros, also contemplates the extension of a gravel in the entrance courtyard to avoid puddles, the repair of downspouts, as well as other specific works on the roofs and painting tasks in different rooms .Likewise, the conditioning of other deteriorated elements will be carried out through masonry, plumbing and carpentry work."The continuous improvement of the educational facilities is one of our priorities, some work that we now start taking advantage of the summer holidays and with which we want to leave our educational centers in perfect condition for the start of the course," explains Belén López.Plan of Works in Educational Centers 2020The City Council has started the Plan of Works in Educational Centers for this year which will be endowed with 2,000,300 euros and will be carried out in a total of 80 public schools in Murcia and districts.

Specifically, it will be carried out in two large blocks: maintenance and improvement of the services and benefits of the educational centers, where there are also the actions promoted by the Municipal Boards, and, on the other hand, investment and renovation of sports facilities.It should be noted that this plan is the result of the work coordinated by the Department of Education and Nursery Schools, districts and neighborhoods and Sports and Health.The improvement actions focus on the repair of the roofs, some of them damaged by DANA, as well as the affected interior areas, the reform of toilets, replacement and renovation of doors, specific repairs of masonry, plumbing and carpentry, replacement of deteriorated elements, etc.As for sports works, the replacement of sports courts, goal repair, laying and renovation of the pavement, as well as the repainting of the game lines are some of the actions carried out since January and that will be carried out in the rest of schools during the summer months.
