José Manuel Lorca Planes, issued on June 15 a Decree by which he urges to immediately call elections in the Royal and Most Illustrious Brotherhood of Our Father Jesus Nazareno, better known as "los Salzillos", from the city of Murcia.The Decree establishes rules that facilitate the participation of all the confreres, including those who are absent, who can both consult the census and cast their vote, and also want to guarantee the full transparency of the new process by means of the possibility that each candidate designates a representative own before the Electoral Board.For this, the Decree appoints an Episcopal Commission with full powers, composed of members of this Brotherhood, and chaired by a woman, Dr.
Paula Lázaro Aragües, who is accompanied by the lawyer José Luis Durán Sánchez and the economist Antonio José Ródenas Guardiola, who they must organize the electoral calendar, prepare the census, admit the candidacies and other technical aspects of the vote.
Likewise, they assume the representation and ordinary administration of the Brotherhood, once the effective termination of the mandate of the previous president, Antonio Gómez Fayrén, which has expired since last December 10, 2019 and to whom he has expressed himself, has occurred.
Another communication thanking you for the years of service in office.In order to facilitate the electoral process, the Decree suspends some articles of the current constitutions of the Brotherhood, which have given rise to numerous challenges and contradictory interpretations within it.Lastly, the Decree also establishes the necessary observance of all the provisions currently in force on health security measures.
