| The Governing Board gives the go-ahead to the initial approval and submission to public information of the project to modify the Partial Plan of Los Martínez del Puerto | The Governing Board, at the proposal of the Department of Sustainable Development and Huerta, which the mayor Antonio Navarro directs, has approved at its meeting today the initial approval and submission to public information of the project to modify the Partial Plan ZG-SG-C1 -Mp6 of Los Martínez del Puerto, next to the international airport.The Murcia City Council has taken another step in the process to make available to companies an area of ??more than one million square meters in the hamlet of Los Martínez del Puerto.This decision is part of the Government Team's commitment to favor companies generating wealth and employment in the municipality through economic revitalization thanks to having new plots of land at their disposal where they can install new businesses.This modification of the Partial Plan of Los Martínez del Puerto is drafted to eliminate part of the secondary road projected to enable the creation of large-area plots that can be used to establish large logistics platforms.

The change is due to the fact that the business demand raised at present did not exist at the time of approval of this Partial Plan.The free spaces of the General and Local System will not undergo any variation, neither in surface nor in location.

The suppression of part of the secondary road will allow the authorization of new land for companies to be established in the municipality.Buildable on 422,985 square metersThe planned modification will take place in Action Units 2 and 3 of the aforementioned Partial Plan of Los Martínez del Puerto.

The land to build will cover an area of ??422,985 square meters.

10% of the total land will be transferred to the City Council, which may build green areas and facilities.2,132 public parking spacesThe Plan also includes the construction of 2,132 public parking spaces in the area.

The modification approved by the Governing Board seeks to convert into land for industrial use a surface that in the approval of the Plan was reserved for the construction of streets and transit areas.This action seeks that commercial and business activity can grow in the municipality of Murcia.

In recent months the City Council has given the green light to projects that provide land for the installation of companies in districts such as Cabezo de Torres, El Palmar and El Puntal.
