Specifically, a budget of 1,258,183 euros will be allocated to this block.The maintenance and improvement works of the services and benefits are going to be carried out in the centers Nuestra Señora de las Maravillas (Los Martínez del Puerto), Cristo del Valle (Torreagüera), Juan Carlos I (Llano de Brujas), Mariano Aroca (Murcia ), Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria (Valladolises), Rafael Nicolás Raya (Sangonera La Verde), Nuestra Señora de Atocha (Santiago and Zaraiche), CEIP Santiago el Mayor (Santiago el Mayor), CEIP El Puntal (El Puntal), San José de Calasanz (Alquerías), San Andrés, (Murcia-San Andrés), San Félix (Zarandona), Saavedra Fajardo (Algezares), Santa Rosa de Lima (El Palmar), CPEI Bas Isabel Bellvis (Corvera), Carolina Codorniu (Churra) , CEIP Santo Ángel, (Santo Ángel), Hellín Lasheras, (Javalí Viejo), Nuestra Señora de Los Ángeles (El Esparragal), Torreateatinos (El Raal), and CEIB Arteaga (Sucina).Among the actions to be carried out include the repair of the roofs damaged by DANA, as well as the affected interior areas, the reform of toilets, replacement and renovation of doors, specific repairs of masonry, plumbing and carpentry, replacement of elements deteriorated, etc.This block also encompasses the actions promoted by the Municipal Boards, from which a series of maintenance and improvement actions will be undertaken in 11 public schools distributed in Murcian districts, such as in the centers of Alquerías, Los Garres, Sucina, El Raal , San José de la Vega, Barriomar-La Purísima, Sangonera La Seca, Aljucer, Gea and Truyols, Rincón de Seca, Santa Cruz and La Alberca.Tuning of sports facilities in 49 schoolsThe City Council has been working since January to improve the sports facilities of 49 educational centers in Murcia and its districts, of which work has already been carried out in 24 schools.
A budget of 163,231 euros has been allocated to this block.The replacement of sports courts, repair of goals, laying and renovation of the pavement, as well as the repainting of the game lines are some of the actions carried out since January and that will be carried out in the rest of the schools during the summer months."We continue to work on improving our sports facilities in all corners of the municipality, as these spaces are places for the promotion of exercise and healthy environments for our students," explains Felipe Coello.New covers in the centers of neighborhoods and districtsLikewise, the City Council has allocated an investment of 578,885 to the installation of new covers on the sports courts of three educational centers, allowing schoolchildren to use these facilities throughout the year, as well as to the creation of new direct accesses to schools from public roads.Specifically, this action is part of the Extraordinary Plan for Investment in Districts and is being carried out in the public schools of Puebla de Soto, San Pío X and in the CEIP Nuestra Señora de Fátima, located in the hamlet of Beniaján."The investment in districts involves promoting the structure of the municipality through the construction of infrastructures that contribute to the quality of life of the neighbors and, in this case, of our children," highlights Marco Antonio Fernández.The City Council will remove asbestos from twenty public schools with a plan endowed with 1,800,000 eurosIn parallel, the City Council will carry out over the next four years the removal of fiber cement roofs from a total of 20 public schools in the municipality of Murcia, an action that is part of the City Council's infrastructure maintenance plan and which is endowed with 1,800,000 euros.The removal of asbestos from educational centers will take place in several phases: the first has already begun and consists of the renovation of the roofs in the most affected centers; a later one will take place in the rest of the schools, as well as in the construction elements that contain this material.The Ministry of Education delegates these powers to the City Council, which will be coordinated between the Department of Education and Infant Schools and Pedanías y Barrios.
