| The Housing service, led by Paqui Pérez, extends the measure that it already launched during April and May to benefit 953 families residing in the neighborhoods of Infante Juan Manuel and Espinardo, as well as in 28 districts of the municipal area | The Department of Seniors, Disability and Development Cooperation, through the Housing service led by the mayor Paqui Pérez, will extend the exemption from rent payment during the months of June and July to the tenants of the municipal park homes.

This measure will represent a total of 162,000 euros.Thus, from the Housing service, the exemption that was implemented in April and May is extended to benefit 953 families residing in the neighborhoods of Infante Juan Manuel and Espinardo, as well as in 28 districts of the municipal area.These are family units with a very vulnerable profile, over 60 years of age, people with disabilities, single-parent families, large families with serious economic difficulties and minor dependents, and others with little support in the environment.The adoption of this agreement will provide economic relief to many of these families who, in most cases, have seen their situation aggravated as a result of the health and economic crisis caused by COVID-19, which is affecting very negative in their personal and social environment.This exemption from rent payment during June and July is adopted in accordance with the provisions of Royal Decree-Law 11/2020, of March 31, by which urgent complementary measures are implemented in the social and economic sphere to make in front of the COVID-19."We have adopted this measure after checking the needs of these families," stressed Councilor Paqui Pérez, who thanked the social section of the Housing service for the follow-up work carried out during these months because "it has allowed us to have an adjusted x-ray of the situation they are experiencing.
