| The deadline to apply for subsidies will be one month from its publication in the BORM | The Department of Seniors, Disability and Cooperation, through the Housing service led by the mayor Paqui Pérez, is going to allocate a total of 668,761 euros to renting homes for families with limited economic resources and in a situation of special vulnerability, with the objective to facilitate their stay in a rental dwelling.
These grants may reach 2,933 euros.This year, the grants, which can be requested within a month of their publication in the BORM, were awarded through a direct grant - due to the exceptional circumstances caused by COVID-19 - in order to guarantee a simple and agile system that make these aids available in the shortest possible time."Our priority is to protect the people who are having the worst time so that they can have a minimum income and to alleviate fixed expenses so that they can face others that are more necessary," said the head of the Housing service.The grants, which will be awarded for a maximum period of 12 months, are intended to partially finance the rental payment, provided that certain requirements are met, including the following:The beneficiary or holder of the contract must be registered in the municipality of Murcia for a continuous year and immediately prior to the date of the request.
People who are victims of gender violence are exempt from this requirement.You must show weighted annual income between 0.5 and 2.5 times the IPREM for the entire family unit.Prove that the rental income in annual computation exceeds 25% of the weighted income of the family unit.Not having debts with public administrations.The house must be located in the municipality of Murcia.The maximum amount of the monthly rental of the house will be equal to or less than 550 euros.Likewise, the subsidies, which will have a finalist character, may be made compatible with those municipal economic aid for the care of social needs and the complement of rent of non-contributory pensions, as well as aid granted under Royal Decree-Law 11 / 2020.Once the call period is open, the information will be available on the municipal website, as well as in social service centers and municipal information offices.The presentation of applications will be made using the standard models that will be available on the municipal website and in the municipal registers of Abenarabi, Plaza de Europa and Glorieta de España; as well as in any municipal information office located in districts.
Likewise, they may be presented in the registers of the State and the Autonomous Community, or in any electronic register of a public administration.
