| The Councilor for Urban Agenda and Open Government receives members of the group to review some of the actions carried out during this time | The councilor for Urban Agenda and Open Government, Mercedes Bernabé, met today with the president of the Association of Ukrainians of the Region of Murcia, Larysa Ponomarenko, and other members of the group, on the occasion of the commemoration of its 15th anniversary."I would like to congratulate you for your contribution and full integration into Murcian society, making Ukrainian culture known and participating in social, cultural and urban projects," said the mayor.The organization works in the promotion and preservation of its culture and traditions with the implementation of different actions; for example, the school for the teaching of Ukrainian and other disciplines, which serves a total of 120 students, between 3 and 16 years old.His main relationship with the City Council is his participation and collaboration in the development of urban projects, such as the ADN El Carmen initiative, in which he has actively participated in carrying out the various actions.Currently, the Region has a total of 7,736 Ukrainians, of whom 4,711 are registered in the municipality of Murcia.“The relationships between groups of different cultures contribute to the development and transformation of cities, making them more open and more dynamic.
