In this way, the center, which until now had 365 square meters, will have an area of ??more than 560 square meters and will have a maximum capacity of 312 people.The works are scheduled to finish in May 2021.
The remodeling and expansion of the municipal center represents a total investment of 421,530 euros.Children's games in the Paseo Doctor José Gil OrtizSpecifically, in the Paseo Doctor José Gil Ortiz, which has an area of ??180 square meters, the children's play areas have been renovated, taking advantage of the natural shaded spaces.
In this environment, continuous rubber pavement has been installed and a fence has been set up that surrounds the children's play area, as well as an indicative sign with the recommended ages for each of the games, including rockers, slides, a climbing mesh…As a whole, this new space is a children's play castle.
New urban furniture has also been installed.
The budget for the award of this project is 54,816 euros.A new path, picnic tables and lounge chairs in the Virgen de Los Dolores gardenFor its part, the Virgen de Los Dolores garden, over 8,000 square meters, has been completely renovated, incorporating new elements to promote outdoor sports, such as picnic tables and a calisthenics circuit, as well as enabling new living areas with wooden deckchairs that are characterized by having curved spaces in which to sit and rest.
The budget for the award of this project is 77,774 euros.In addition, the old lane of the park has been conditioned, improving its appearance and accessibility and, thus, creating a new path of almost 900 square meters that is marked with beacons from the City Council that indicate the distance traveled."These new green areas will join other healthy environments that are already emblematic in the municipality, such as Murcia Río, the Greenway or the new pedestrian axes of Alfonso X El Sabio and the Gran Vía on Sundays," said the Murcia councilman.
In addition, perimeter benches have been installed to protect the park and the sports courts have been restored.Identification landmark and garden areasIn addition, this garden will have an identifying milestone that will give identity to the park and that will contribute to the collective imagination of the users.
The park, which has been paved, is surrounded by new landscaped areas and has trees such as pine, jacaranda and hackberry trees.
