The works have finished today on the Alcantarilla highway.The councilor for Sustainable Development and Huerta, Antonio Navarro, visited the works carried out this morning and stressed that "this action improves the service provided to residents, who have access to a more modern supply network."The mayor recalled that "this action is part of the plan to improve public services that we are developing in all districts of the municipality.
The structure and that all Murcians enjoy the best services regardless of where they live, is a priority for this Government Team.
"Specifically, the works have taken place between numbers 57 and 103 of the highway.
The action carried out has allowed the existing problems with the pipeline to be corrected, which is made of fiber cement and concentrated a very high volume of faults in the section in which the City Council has acted.The works carried out have also contributed to improving the efficiency of the supply operation.
The investment for these works amounts to 141,000 euros.
Apart from the replacement of the network in 17 homes, three sectioning valves have also been installed with their corresponding manholes.The operators have also proceeded to replace the pavement with the laying of tile flooring on 1,100 square meters, asphalt chipboard on 15 square meters and paving stone on 8 square meters.Emuasa Investment PlanThis work is part of the Aguas de Murcia Investment Plan for the period 2020-2021.
This line of work has a budget of 13 million euros.
Of that amount, more than 70% is in execution, representing an investment of 9.1 million euros.The execution of this Plan has allowed the creation of more than 1,500 jobs directly, as well as the realization of 63 projects.
62% correspond to sanitation improvement works, while the remaining 38% are destined to works in the supply network.
