| Through a network of Open Access Computer Rooms | In this new Phase 2, the City Council makes ALA's available to young people to continue their telematic trainingThe Murcia City Council, through the Department of Modernization of the Administration and Urban Development led by José Guillén, reopens the 56 municipal Free Access Classrooms (WINGS) that had had to close due to the pandemic and that can now be opened in this new Phase 2, which will allow young people from the municipality and people without digital resources to have more options when it comes to advancing their online training. In this way, and in this new situation that is being experienced in the face of the health crisis, "all the necessary and essential steps are being taken so that all residents of the municipality who need it can have access to the internet and technological tools in this new stage of telework and online training ", highlighted José Guillén. The more than 500 computers (to which the 1,700 of the University of Murcia will gradually add when they decide to activate them) distributed in neighborhoods and districts of the municipality are being prepared so that they can be used in this new Phase. "We are adapting the 56 municipal classrooms (to which later they will be added to the 70 of the UMU, obtaining a total of 126) to the new times and the real needs of users, putting new technologies at the service of people within of our Murcia Smart City smart city project ", José Guillén stressed. Likewise, the students of the University of Murcia residing in the municipality can access the teaching software from the municipal classrooms and, in turn, any citizen will be able to use the equipment located in both the municipal centers and the University.

Users under the age of 16 can access the Classroom if they are accompanied by a parent or guardian. These classrooms aim to multiply by three the number of users until reaching 40,000 people a year.  Following the new sanitary protocols, these classrooms are being adapted to guarantee all the security measures, allowing the residents of the municipality to use them without any risk to their health.

In addition, these rooms will have hydroalcoholic gel and rules for the use of computers will be established. Likewise, the Cleaning Service of the Department of Sustainable Mobility and Youth, led by Rebeca Pérez, will work to carry out greater disinfection of the rooms and equipment. This new opening of the WINGS is being coordinated between several councils, such as the Department of Education and Infant Schools, which is headed by Belén López and the Department of Urban Agenda and Open Government, which is directed by Mercedes Bernabé.
