The councilor for Social Rights, Pilar Torres, has signed the decree that guarantees payments of 215,000 euros.The dining room scholarships are provided through rechargeable wallet cards that are used to purchase food by families with minor scholars.

"In parallel to this action, the City Council continues to pay the special aid that it approved to alleviate the effects that the socio-sanitary crisis caused by the coronavirus has generated.
The Department of Social Rights processes more than a hundred grants a day to assist those most in need and released a contingency fund endowed with a million euros to provide support to 6,000 families.It also approved a grant of 750,000 euros for Cáritas, the Red Cross and the Food Bank, which are the entities that are responsible for the distribution of basic food among the most vulnerable.
Similarly, it promoted the launch of the Galilea Commissary to guarantee the supply of 2,000 families.
