The Association of Neighbors of Puente Tocinos (AVVPT), ??which has just completed 50 years since its foundation, thus becoming the oldest in the municipality of Murcia operating continuously, today presented a campaign encouraging residents of the Murcian hamlet to buy at local shops. "The current health crisis is going to lead to an economic crisis, which will especially affect small businesses in our district," says Mercedes Soler, President of the Association.
"As we all have managed to stop the health crisis, it is time to promote local trade, for all of us to help our neighbors overcome the economic crisis." The AVVPT also allege that "small and medium-sized companies are the main source of employment, and over the years they have demonstrated their commitment to Puente Tocinos by collaborating with the different activities of the district, such as town festivals or sports events.
" Soler also states that "if the small business closes, the town will degrade, losing one of the most important meeting points for the relationship between the neighborhood." "It is time to show that we want a prosperous, more humane and more dignified people to live, so we encourage our neighbors to support the local economy, which has always been by our side in difficult times," concludes the President of the Association of Neighbors of Puente Tocinos.The development of this campaign will have the support of the Puente Tocinos Merchants Association, which groups small and medium-sized businesses in the hamlet.
