| Throughout the day today and tomorrow, cleaning will be carried out in the common areas to guarantee the safety of the administration and university services personnel who join Monday | The City Council is carrying out intensive and extraordinary cleaning and disinfection work on the Espinardo University Campus since next Monday to prepare for the return of the administration and services staff, scheduled for next Monday.The Councilor for Sustainable Mobility and Youth, Rebeca Pérez, and the Councilor for Urban Agenda and Open Government, Mercedes Bernabé, together with María Belén López, Vice-Rector for Infrastructure Planning, and Antonio Carrasco, campus coordinator, have supervised this morning the works carried out by the Street Cleaning Service.For this, a total of eight operators, two large-capacity tanks, high-pressure washers and washing machines are disinfecting all the common areas and the urban furniture of the Campus.For complete disinfection, sodium hypochlorite product is used in a concentration that is characterized by having a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity and by being rapidly bactericidal, without leaving any type of toxic residue.Specifically, the concentration is active chlorine diluted in water of 1,000 ppm (1,000 parts per million).
To carry out their tasks, disinfection operators are provided with raincoats, masks, gloves and protective glasses.1,500 masksOn the other hand, the councilor for Urban Agenda and Open Government, Mercedes Bernabé, and the councilor for Pedanías and Barrios, Marco Antonio Fernández, yesterday delivered to María Belén López, vice-rector for Infrastructure Planning a total of 1,500 masks for all staff which will be incorporated next Monday.
