The Royal and Very Illustrious Cabildo Superior de Cofradías de Murcia, in a telematic session held on April 29, unanimously adopted the following,AGREEMENT:Given the maintenance, after successive extensions, of the state of alert decreed by the pandemic caused by Covid 19, and as a sign of mourning, mourning and solidarity with the people affected by it, this Royal Council agrees to SUSPENSION of all acts of Non-religious character, both those programmed by the Cabildo, and those programmed by the Brotherhoods that compose it, for this year of 2020. Among these acts, the Tribute Dinner that the Cabildo pays tribute to people, institutions and entities, whose appointments and distinctions were agreed in a session held on December 3, 2019, will be suspended and postponed for next year, which will be held for the next year 2021.
Consequently, it is agreed not to make or grant any appointments or distinctions, other than those agreed this year, for the holy week of 2021, with the exception of the proclamation of Holy Week next year.Finally, it is agreed to have the financial funds available to the Cabildo to alleviate and attend, as far as they can, the needs of the most needy people, channeling the contributions through the institutions that pay attention to our most disadvantaged brothers.United in prayer with our Bishop, we ask the Lord to help us to get out of this very serious and critical situation in which we find ourselves submerged.In Murcia, May 5, 2020Signed José Ignacio Sánchez Ballesta
