The Archive will make water, soap, disposable paper towels and hydroalcoholic gel available to those who access the center.Users will not be able to use the computers for public use of the Archive, so the consultation service for digitized documents will not be available in their offices.Recommendations for Archive usersPeople who access the facilities of the Archive must adopt the appropriate measures to protect their health, as well as comply with the recommendations of the health authorities, maintaining the corresponding interpersonal distance in all units and spaces for public use.During the visits, the following recommendations have been established:Users must go to the Archive provided with masks.Users will keep the appropriate security distances, avoiding unnecessary movement through the research room beyond what is strictly necessary.Each user will use a table from the file.To request information on a topic, the user will inform the room assistant what they are looking for.
The assistant will carry out the pertinent search in the databases.The user will not have to fill out the document request form.

In this context, the funds of the Municipal Archive of Murcia constitute a first-rate documentary source and represent the collective memory of the city.Among the documentary collections kept in the Archive, the series of Chapter Acts, which has been kept uninterrupted from 1364, as well as the series known as Royal Cartularies, from 1314 to 1855, which contains the multiple royal orders that came to the Kingdom of Murcia, stand out.

The Municipal Archive of Murcia is, on the one hand, a Historical Archive –conserves documentation since 1266– and, on the other, an Administrative Archive –recovers the files that the City Council generates and which have administrative value–.To manage all this documentary collection, it has two work centers, the Historical Archive, located in the Almudí Palace, and the Administrative Archive, in the Finca Mayayo.
