| The local police mobile park already reaches close to 300 vehicles | The Government Board has approved the supply of two motorcycles for the Local Police Service for the amount of 29,821 euros, through the centralized state procurement system of the General Directorate for Rationalization and Centralization of Contracting of the Ministry of Finance and Public Function.They will be the first two electric motorcycles of the Local Police and will be destined for the ecological patrol that already has two electric bicycles.In this way, the Local Police mobile fleet already reaches close to 300 vehicles.We must remember that last March 13 new mobile units were presented to the agents: 8 motorcycles, 4 vans and a truck, which were added to the existing ones, reaching 282 units.In this way, the acquisition of these vehicles, in addition to facilitating the work of the agents, makes it possible to increase levels of security and immediate attention throughout the municipality.In 2016, 2 SUVs, 13 passenger cars, a mobile radar car for speed controls and 5 motorcycles were added to the fleet.
In 2017, 7 SUVs were added to increase the police presence in the rural and mountain areas of the districts.
Last fall the Murcia Local Police included two drones in their equipment to monitor areas of difficult access, devices that can reach up to 72 km / h and ascend to a height of 6,000 meters.
