| This pilot experience is going to be launched in 9 companies and services based in the municipality, including travel agencies, businesses, tourist guides, museums, professional conference organizers, restaurants and taxis | Murcia is going to lead a pilot project at the national level for the non-face-to-face evaluation of tourist companies and services of the SICTED project (Integral System of Tourist Quality in Destinations).The municipality has been selected taking into account a series of variables, among which the age of the SICTED project in Murcia, the number of distinguished establishments with the 'Tourism Quality Commitment' brand and their degree of involvement and preparation, as well as their nomination as 'Best Destination SICTED 2018' which was a definitive boost for Murcia as a quality tourist reference.9 companies and services in MurciaA proposal that the CARM presented to the Secretary of State for Tourism and which, after receiving the approval, will be implemented in 9 companies and services based in Murcia in 7 different subsectors: travel agencies, shops, tourist guides, museums, professional organizers of congresses, restaurants and taxis.This is a pioneering experience that aims to turn distance assessment into a viable alternative that allows the SICTED project work and activities to continue until visits and on-site evaluations are allowed.Working protocolThe Murcian companies and services that are going to star in this pilot project have been sent the work protocol with the documentation they must send by mail (licenses or accreditations for the exercise of their activity, data protection, prevention of occupational risks, plan emergency and evacuation, official claims sheets in establishments where food is handled: cards or food handler training certificates, pest control, fire extinguisher and fire extinguishing media inspection certificates, vehicle ITVs, taximeter inspection, among other documents).Subsequently, an interview is arranged with the representative of the establishment via video call, in which in addition to the evaluator and the owner of the company or service to be evaluated, the destination manager will also participate.
