Also, a screen will be installed in the living room where the bride and groom can see their family and friends. “We are living through exceptional moments, which are forcing us to make decisions that we have never made before.
The celebration of marriage is a very important moment for any couple, so, from the consistory, we adapt to this situation, offering the bride and groom to experience it with their guests through the technologies we have at our disposal, "highlights Mercedes Barnabas.
Specifically, today Eusebio Ramón Ortíz and Elena María Cuadrado Chicano have married, to whose ceremony 30 people have connected, and Juan Carlos Morales Ochoa and Jitzell-Jorlene Paz García, accompanied by 15 guests by videoconference.22 weddings postponedOf the 42 ceremonies planned in the consistory, in the period from March 13 to May 30, a total of 11 weddings have been celebrated, counting those of today; 22 have been postponed; 8 remain so far; and one is in doubt, in the absence of the couple's decision. In most cases, deferrals are being dated for the months of July, September, October, and November.
There are already two couples who have postponed the ceremony for next year.Likewise, in order to give all the facilities to the bride and groom, from the Civil Marriage service two more weekends have been enabled, which were not foreseen in the initial wedding calendar, for July 24 and 25 and 27 and November 28.The days established by the consistory for the celebration of weddings are Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings, except for specific dates such as Christmas, Easter, Spring Festival, August, as well as the first week of September."It is important to highlight that the state of alarm has coincided during a period in which fewer weddings were scheduled for this year in the consistory, due to the indicated holidays and parties," explains Mercedes Bernabé, who adds that, on the part of the Civil Marriages, "is in daily contact with all couples to give them the best solution to that important day for them."
