In this sense, the pedáneo will provide logistical support and will coordinate with these entities to facilitate distribution points for families that need their services."We are not going to let our guard down when the confinement ends or relax, on the contrary, we will strengthen social care and support for the most vulnerable families," said the mayor, who added that "since the state of alarm began, the City Council de Murcia has intensified social care, which has shot up 48% during the state of alarm ”.In addition, paramedics will relay to said social entities the information of interest they receive from Social Rights of the Murcia City Council.Financial support: direct aid for the BoardsLikewise, the City Council is going to enable a game of direct aid to all the Municipal Boards, a budget that will be allocated to associations that pay attention to vulnerable families in the municipality, such as those mentioned above –Cáritas, Jesús Abandonado, etc.–.
In this way, coordination with social entities will be complemented by this financial support.Streamline the economic reactivation of districts and neighborhoodsThe Mayor of Murcia has asked the pedranos to plan the investments of their localities with the aim of speeding up the drafting of supporting projects and reports, boosting economic activity.The objective of managing and planning the current budget of the Boards –14 million euros spread over 65 Municipal Boards– is to speed up the economic reactivation of neighborhoods and districts, investing it in works and projects, as well as in the maintenance of schools, among others.

Of the 59 districts, 57 have a municipal board and 2 have only a pedáneo mayor.
All the districts –which include various neighborhoods– have a Municipal Board.
In total, Murcia has 67 pedranos and 65 Municipal Boards.
