| The Ecopark located in the San Ginés industrial estate is still open during its normal hours | The Department of Sustainable Mobility and Youth, through the Street Cleaning and Waste Management Service, and in collaboration with Ferrovial Services, requests the collaboration of Murcia to keep polluting waste in their homes until the ecopoints enter again operation, once the alarm state ends. For this reason, the council reminds that these special household waste, such as batteries, used oil, batteries, or empty paint cans, among others, must be stored in a safe place in the home, away from children and pets, to be deposited in these specific collection points.Councilwoman Rebeca Pérez has indicated that "the type of waste that is collected in the ecopoints allows the adoption of this measure since they can be kept at home until the service is restored.
We especially ask that batteries not be thrown in the normal garbage and that the used oil is not thrown down the drain.
"The mobile ecopoints remain closed as one more preventive measure, aimed at minimizing the expansion of the coronavirus, also avoiding the possibility of contagion to the workers of said mobile facilities. The Ecopark located in the San Ginés industrial estate is still open during its regular hours to deposit special waste and citizen attention on street cleaning and waste collection is centralized by calling 900 511 133 and the website murciaciudadsostenible.es
