After analyzing the complete data for the third week, in which the most complete restriction on mobility was imposed as a consequence of the application of the recoverable paid permit (according to RD 10/2020), it is observed how the reduction in road traffic ranged between 78.9% and 77.9% in exits and entrances, and 80.3% in the center.
The highest reduction, to 88.2%, occurred over the weekend.
The fourth week, which has come to coincide with Easter, values ​​range between 82.8% and 84.4% in exits and entrances, and 84.1% in the center.
The highest reduction, up to 90.8%, coincided with Good Friday, with uniform values ​​for both entrances, exits and the city center.
Comparing data between the days of Easter in the years 2019 and 2020, it can be seen how the reductions in road traffic registered between Palm Sunday until Easter Sunday, range between 81.7% in the city center , and between 77.1% and 78.3% in exits and entrances to the city, being the highest registered value of the order of 89.5% expressed in reduction with respect to the previous year for Palm Sunday.
"What is really relevant is that the general trend continues in the progressive reduction of road traffic in the city during the course of this state of health alarm by COVID-19," concluded Councilor for Sustainable Mobility and Youth, Rebeca Pérez.
