Given the emergency situation that arose as a result of Covid-19 and after the suspension of face-to-face classes, 14 volunteers from our entity are offering virtual educational support to 10 minors and their families from disadvantaged backgrounds so that they can continue to keep up-to-date with their homework and the educational, digital and language gap they face is not exacerbated and it slows their social inclusion.

Specifically, individualized attention is carried out with each child through the mobile phone and video call, since it must be borne in mind that they lack material resources such as the internet, computers and even / school material that allows them to follow the school year.
Over the past year, at SECUNDA Educa, 94 volunteers have assisted 126 minors from disadvantaged backgrounds to improve their school performance, facilitating their learning of Spanish and fostering their motivation and knowledge of their own skills.
In addition, this initiative, which has been carried out at CEIP San Andrés, IES Miguel de Cervantes and the Municipal Center García Alix, has promoted education in values, has allowed the improvement of English learning and has facilitated integration social of minors through play and creativity.
SECUNDA Educa is aimed at improving school performance and social and educational integration through inclusive training and intercultural coexistence of the participating minors, mostly of immigrant origin.
