The Governing Board has given the go-ahead to the increase, in an exceptional way, of the fixed cash limit available to the Social Services Area in order to expand the dining room scholarships during this period of isolation.
At the last Governing Board the advance of 168,123 euros was agreed, to which now another 104,480 euros are added in order to expand the food supply to schoolchildren who had a dining scholarship in another 7 days.
The Department of Social and Family Rights has already distributed the cards to the 2,101 children with scholarships from the Ministry of Education and Culture and to the 891 who have municipal aid.
This prepaid card includes the amount corresponding to the anticipated days of isolation and is activated only to purchase food.
If the confinement situation continues, the card can be reloaded directly.
