The Governing Board approved in its session this morning the novation of the participatory loan signed in 2014 with the Murcia High Speed ​​Society for the remodeling of the arterial railway network in the city of Murcia, for an amount of 2,125,000 euros until 30 June 2025.

It must be remembered that on July 24, 2014 the participative loan contract was signed between the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Land Planning of the CARM, the City of Murcia, the Public Business Entity Administration of Railway Infrastructures (ADIF), Public Business Entity ADIF Alta Velocidad and Murcia Alta Velocidad, SA

The contract established that the amortization of the loan will be carried out as the Company has funds obtained as a consequence of the urban development of the scope of action.

The total amount of the loan is 8,500,000 euros and the maturity was established for March 31, 2017, extendable for three more years.

The Governing Board of March 27, 2017 approved the first extension of said loan, extending the term until March 31, 2020.

Now the Murcia Alta Velocidad Society has requested a novation of the Participative Loan signed in 2014, since it did not have liquid resources derived from the sale of land, since these are not available for sale, something that the Governing Board, through the Department of Citizen Security and Economic Management, approved today.

It has also given its approval to the file promoted by the Department of Sustainable Development and Huerta to authorize and dispose of the amount of 4,572,958.49 euros for payments corresponding to Phase 0 in favor of ADIF High Speed, justified until October 31, 2019

In this way, the Murcia High Speed ​​Company is provided with sufficient funds to pay for the actions pending execution and those costs associated with carrying out the integration of the railway in the city of Murcia.

This agreement was approved in the Plenary session of May 6, 2019, in which the amending addendum to the agreement signed on June 22, 2006 for the remodeling of the arterial railway network of the city of Murcia was approved.
