The Mayor of Murcia, Jos Ballesta, reported that “we put into operation in the environment of Nueva Condomina, in the Enrique Roca stadium, a Logistics Center for rest, food and cleaning, open to all professionals in the transport sector by road, which are turning so that Murcian families have fresh food and basic necessities available every day during confinement ”.
In this Logistics Center, for which direct access has been established from the A-7 motorway, carriers can park their vehicles to rest, recharge with food in the provisioning area that has been enabled, as well as showering and cleaning in the stadium facilities.
The hours to access the provisioning and cleaning area will be from 12:00 to 16:00 and from 18:00 to 22:00.
"This is a solidarity initiative that aims to fill the absence of service areas, currently closed by the pandemic, with which we want these professionals to feel the support of all Murcian society in these difficult times," said Jos Ballesta.
This performance has been promoted by the Real Murcia football club, who contacted the City Council to make the facilities it manages available to them, which include the car park and also the interior area of changing rooms and showers.
In addition to the City Council and Real Murcia, this project has the support of the Regional Federation of Transport Organizations and Companies of Murcia (FROET), Local Police, Civil Guard and Civil Protection volunteers.
Prepared for the arrival of 100 carriers each day
This initiative guarantees the arrival of fresh food and basic necessities during confinement, responding to one of the essential sectors decreed by the state of Alarma, since all economic activities focused on the food supply of people are considered essential, such as it is the transport of basic necessities.
This Logistics Center is scheduled to provide services to nearly 100 carriers each day.

Health and hygiene protocol
The City Council, through the Sports and Health Department, has established a health and hygiene protocol for the use of the stadium facilities.
On the one hand, an access control has been established, which will be developed in the following phases:
1. Data collection -name, company, vehicle registration, place of origin and destination, as well as time of arrival at the facility).
2. Take temperature and record it.
3. Disinfection with hydroalcoholic gel.
If the carrier has to sign, said signature will be made after the disinfection of the hands.
Likewise, users who access the facilities will maintain a row with a minimum separation of 2 meters at all times, a distance that will be maintained in the same way between the drivers and the worker at the control point.
The staff attending them from the control point will also wear gloves and a mask, and will use hydroalcoholic gel to disinfect the gloves between each person they serve.
On the other hand, there will be a control of access to changing rooms, in which only two people will be able to stay inside at the same time, always keeping the minimum distance of two meters and using the furthest bench area between them to leave their belongings, guaranteeing the correct use of said facilities.
Likewise, a daily cleaning and disinfection will be carried out in the facilities, which will be completed with a weekly disinfection by the personnel assigned to the municipal Zoonosis Control center.
Said weekly disinfection will be carried out by spraying with dilution of sodium hypochlorite in the access area to the covered parking, as well as in the hallways and stairs leading to the changing rooms.
Sanitation for total asepsis
The City Council, through the Health Service, has previously sanitized and disinfected the entire environment that will be opened to carriers tomorrow, to guarantee "the total asepsis of the facility," said Jos Ballesta, who reported that "these works are going to continue lending continuously ”.
The entire exterior access area of the trucks has been thoroughly disinfected with dilute sodium hypochlorite, while the interior area (changing rooms, showers and access corridors) have received virucidal treatment.
How to get to the Enrique Roca stadium
All transporters will be able to reach the stadium through exit 563 of the A-7, both in the direction of Alicante and in the direction of Cartagena, being able to park their vehicles in the parking area in front of the main facade of the stadium.
Access to it will be on foot through the parking gate.
