The Municipal Socialist Group has once again requested the meeting of the Public Health Committee of the Murcia City Council to present the draft of a contingency plan in order for political groups to make their contributions.
"It is a contingency plan adapted to the specific risk that in this case is a health crisis that is not contemplated in the PEMU," explains the socialist spokesman, José Antonio Serrano, who considers that this contingency plan is one more step in the proposals. carried out in the last Health Committee that "although they were well received, they have not been implemented".
In this sense, he believes that "we must optimize through a Plan the human and material resources of the Murcia City Council to adapt them to the health and social demands that are indicated to us from the Government of Spain through the Regional Government".
The socialist spokesman believes that "citizens need security and trust, like our public employees. The human team of the Murcia City Council is very professional and, coordinated, will work much better to get out of this situation."
The coordination tasks refer to logistics, social action, volunteering, teleworking, disinfecting municipal rooms ...
In this regard, Serrano assures that "there are many people willing to collaborate voluntarily but we must channel these resources so as not to put these people at risk and to help us to get out of this situation."
The Plan proposes initiatives to serve the dining room scholarships to the 3,000 children who are not guaranteed now, as well as a strategy to address the situation of dependents, the elderly and families at risk of exclusion.
The idea is that the resources available in the Murcia City Council are coordinated in a logistical support group that provides resources to the rest of the action groups.
"This plan is similar to others that have been activated in other municipalities, it is useless to have regional and national resources such as the army if we do not have internal coordination to respond to what is demanded of us," says Serrano.
