The City Council, through the Department of Urban Development and Administration Modernization, headed by José Guillén, works intensively in cleaning and disinfecting the canine recreation areas of the municipality, around 50, as a measure of prevention of Covid-19 virus during the period of isolation declared by the Government of the Nation.
Royal Decree 463/2020 of March 14, 2020 of the Ministry of the Presidency that declares the State of Alarm allows pets to be taken for a walk, so the work in these areas has been reinforced both in its frequency, three times a day throughout the week, as in depth cleaning.
"These spaces become sensitive places, so it is a priority to maintain, care and hygiene and safety conditions," says Councilman José Guillén.
STV-Actúa personnel, with all the protective measures, are in charge of these tasks, which are carried out with sodium hypochlorite for all the surfaces of the canine and zotal recreation area for the ground.
Neither product used is toxic.
The actions focus on each of the elements that make up the space, games and furniture, as well as access doors and perimeter fences.
The zones are marked out when working in them and access is not allowed until the product has dried and the space is safe.
Tips for using the Canine Recreation Zones

- The product used is not toxic to animals or people.
