The data collected by the Traffic Chamber over the past weekend reveals that "Murcians are being responsible and are staying at home," said Councilor for Sustainable Mobility and Youth, Rebeca Pérez.
From the information analyzed, it is worth noting an even greater reduction in the traffic registered in our municipality;
If you compare Saturday the 21st with Saturday the 7th (last Saturday before the publication of the alarm status), traffic decreased 83% in the center and 80% in entrances and exits to the city.
It must be remembered that on Saturday the 13th the circulation decreased compared to Saturday the 7th by 56% in the center and 55% in entrances and exits.
Compared to yesterday, Sunday, significant traffic reduction values are obtained, comparing it with Sunday 8, of 85.23% in the city center, of 87.7% in entrances to Murcia and of 88.3% in Departures.
Rebeca Pérez explained that "looking at these ranges, it follows that only the meager traffic caused by the established minimum services is recorded, such as that of people who inexcusably have to go to their job, security services, cleaning and disinfection, public transport, supply and sanitary, among others "
