Mayor José Ballesta chaired this morning a new meeting of the Public Health Committee of the municipality of Murcia (fifth meeting held this week) in order to continue analyzing and organizing measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
Representatives of municipal political groups, the Municipal Health Service and the Local Police have also attended.
Thus, among the agreed actions, the closing of all the centers and information points for in-person attention to citizens stands out.
Face-to-face attention will be replaced by telematic and telephone attention since Murcians can carry out practically all procedures thanks to the effort made in recent years to implement electronic administration in all departments
In relation to municipal public employees, some measures have been agreed, which will be included in a decree that will be approved in the next few hours:
- The templates of basic services (local police, fire, SEMAS, cleaning ...) are kept at 100%
- The staff associated with centers that have been closed (sports, cultural, youth facilities, nursery schools ...) will remain at their homes.
- For the rest of the personnel of the Municipal Services, on the part of the Delegate Councilor of each Area, the corresponding minimum services, as well as the criteria of rotation, turnicity and hourly flexibility of the personnel assigned to said services that will be applied from March 17, so that there is an effective reduction of personnel in the different work centers.
- All municipal personnel are at the disposal of those responsible for the Department they depend on, being obliged to abide by the instructions or orders that may be issued.
Extraordinary services may be imposed due to their duration or nature and they may be required to provide services in any workplace or perform support tasks derived from the emergency situation.
Another agreement reached at today's meeting is that the municipal plenary session in March is suspended, the plenary sessions of the municipal boards and direct attention to the residents of the pedáneo will be held by telephone or electronic means.
Parking in ORA areas in the surroundings of hospitals and health centers and in the public parking lots of municipal management of La Condomina, Arrixaca, Fuenteblanca and Artillery Barracks will be free from Monday morning for health professionals.
To identify themselves, they must show at the accesses to the parking lots or place their health card (original or photocopy) in a visible place on the windshield.
Social Services is working to establish a coordination device with Jesús Abandonado to adopt measures with homeless people to join the one already being developed by SEMAS.
For this reason, a meeting will be held tomorrow between different services to carry out these actions.
On the other hand, the Terra Natura nature park has been closed and the Department of Urban Development will proceed to the inspection, cleaning and disinfection of children's games, public furniture and canine recreation areas.
As for the weddings that were going to be held in the Murcia City Council, the 4 scheduled until April 20 remain, although the parties will be contacted in case they want to postpone it.
The Municipal Health Service maintains the laboratory service at 100%, as well as that of vaccines, zoonoses and the municipal cemetery.
The Street Cleaning and Waste Collection Services are also being developed 100%, increasing the use of disinfectant, eliminating the use of blowers and increasing hygiene tasks in both the staff's work equipment and machinery.
On the other hand, the Department of Sustainable Mobility in coordination with the Department of Security have eliminated the time restriction for loading and unloading, to facilitate the work of supplying supermarkets.
In addition, the Department of Culture has adopted the decision to close the Municipal Archive and, following the resolution of the Autonomous Community, it closes the museums and exhibition halls to the public: City Museum, Ramón Gaya Museum, Molinos del Río, Museo de la Ciencia, Museo del Belén, Almudí Exhibition Hall, Artillery Barracks, Artistic Laboratory of Carmen and Puertas de Castilla.
The Department of Sustainable Mobility has removed the municipal rental bicycles managed by Muybici with the aim of avoiding contagion points.
In addition, it is recommended that people over 60 do not use public transport, distancing measures will be established in public transport, and the transportation of Buhobús and universities will be abolished.
For its part, the Department of Tourism closes the tourist information points, due to the influx of tourists from Madrid.
