The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia, within the framework of the 'Plan against home burglary', has carried out an investigation in the Murcian hamlet of Cabezo de Torres to clarify a series of home burglaries, which has culminated in the arrest of an experienced criminal as the alleged perpetrator of at least half a dozen robberies with force in houses in the Murcian districts of Cabezo de Torres (3) and El Esparragal (4).
The investigation began last January, when the Civil Guard became aware of different robberies committed at houses in the Murcian districts of Cabezo de Torres and El Esparragal, events that had generated a certain social alarm.
The agents gathered the necessary evidence to focus the investigation on an experienced criminal, based in Cabezo de Torres, who was suspected of being related to the crimes investigated.
Once her place of residence was located, the Benemérita established numerous surveillance devices that allowed her closest bond to be known, including another person who was suspected of being able to accompany her on her criminal activities to monitor the outskirts of the houses while committed the robberies, in anticipation of a possible police presence.
The result of the investigation has culminated in the arrest of a 30-year-old Moroccan man as the alleged perpetrator of at least half a dozen burglaries in homes in the Murcian districts of Cabezo de Torres and El Esparragal.
As it appears from the investigation, the now detainee made a prior selection of his targets, generally inhabited houses that were empty at the time of their assault.
To give guarantees to his assaults, he watched the residents' exit and even knocked on the door to make sure they were not inside, and later, either by climbing or breaking a door or window, accessing the interior to remove everything type of valuables.
The escape was rushing through previously selected streets as the most suitable and least traveled escape route, through which to flee without being seen.
With the objects in his possession, he moved to his home where he kept them for the shortest possible time until they were released through the 'black' market.
Most of these robberies were committed in the afternoon, taking advantage of the sunset, with the alleged intention of preventing neighbors or curious people from identifying it, although the study of the routines of the homeowners was sometimes misguided, which resulted in him being surprised on some occasion while trying to access the house.
The detailed analysis of the information obtained in the investigation process, relates the arrested with the alleged responsibility for seven criminal acts committed in houses in the Murcian districts of Cabezo de Torres and El Esparragal.
The person arrested with a history of robbery with violence and intimidation with a firearm and the investigative measures has been placed at the disposal of the Investigating Court of Murcia.
The investigation remains open.
