Within the programming of the Week of the Huerta 2020, from today and until Thursday, the Murcians will be able to enjoy a free talk every evening, related to the cuisine of the Huerta de Murcia, at the headquarters of Murcia Gastronomic Capital 2020, the side of the Romea Theater.
'La Huerta de los 1.001 flavors' is a forum for dissemination and awareness in which attendees will know the importance of local products in the diet, the gastronomic diversity of Murcia and the many culinary recipes that may arise from it.
The first presentation, 'La Huerta de Murcia, nutrition and quality', will take place this afternoon at 7 pm on the side of the Romea Theater, by the hand of Luis Hidalgo, dean of Codinmur, and aims to help attendees learn to Identify food labeling, meet seasonal fruits and vegetables and spread the message of welcoming these foods in the diet to combat obesity and overweight.
The second talk, 'The thistle and the artichoke, protagonists of winter', will be held on Tuesday 10 at 7 pm, and will feature a demonstration of dishes with David López, chef and owner of the Local Essay restaurant.
The third activity will consist in the projection of the audiovisual work 'Taste the Huerta', recipes with orchard products that can be displayed on Wednesday 11 at 7 pm and Paco El Huertanico will be the one who will offer the talk.
The last paper, 'The history of the Garden as a shaper of eating habits', will be given by Pachi Larrosa, a journalist and member of the Academy of Gastronomy of Murcia, at 6 pm.
