A procession formed by more than 200 Nazarenes have participated in the tour, from the Church of Las Anas to La Glorieta, making several horn honks along the itinerary.
More than 200 Nazarenes have traveled this morning the streets and squares of Murcia in the V edition of Via Passionois, courtship formed by groups of heralds, teasing and drums.
Throughout the itinerary, which began in the Conceptual Church of Las Anas and ended in La Glorieta, the Nazarenes have made several horn honks.
"This act represents the official call of Murcia's Holy Week, announcing that this tradition of more than 600 years of history will begin," said the mayor of Murcia, who received the Nazarenes at the Glorieta de España, where they made several touches mocking, and added that "we are the result of a long past of Nazarenes, who carried our Easter teasing and blew those drums that any Murcia recognizes."
The event, organized by the Cabildo Superior de Cofradías in collaboration with the City of Murcia, began at 11 am, in the Conceptual Church of Las Anas.
The Nazarenes have toured the Plaza de las Anas, Santo Domingo, Trapería Street, Hernández Amores Square, Escultor Salzillo Street, Belluga Square and Arenal Street, ending in La Glorieta, where they have been received by members of the Municipal Corporation and the board of directors of the Real and Very Illustrious Superior Cabildo of Cofradías de Murcia.
The brotherhoods that have participated in the V edition of Via Passionis are the Amparo, Caridad, Perdón, Sangre, Jesús, Servitas, Misericordia, Refugio, Rescate, Salud y de la Fe, whose Nazarenes have made several horn touches throughout of the itinerary.
This year the Holy Week in Murcia, declared of International Tourist Interest, will begin on April 3, Friday of Dolores, and will continue until the 12th.
