The Councilor for Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration of the City of Murcia, José Guillén, responds to the Socialist councilors, José Antonio Serrano and Antonio Benito, that "the Psoe is late, and bad as always, because files have already been initiated and required the concession companies of the Parks and Gardens contract to complete the works ".

Guillén asks the socialist mayor to "let his technicians work, because the process is being carried out with strict and rigorous control" and that "the responsible municipal technicians know perfectly what their work is and they are performing it with rigor and transparency" .

In addition, the councilor José Guillén asks him "not to lie, since the investments of which the PSOE speaks represent about 5% of the contract, which has a duration of four years renewable for one more."

He states that many of the works are already completed, such as in the districts of San Ginés, Beniaján, Puente Tocinos, among others.

The popular mayor says that the Socialists "insist on curbing the action of the local government, although this means depriving all Murcia, as they have already done with the AVE, with Murcia Rio or with the collectors, and now it seems that they have determined to do it with our parks and gardens. "

The councilor explains that the technicians already sent last January various requirements to the different companies responsible for the contract asking them to adjust to the execution periods.

In this way, it ensures that the City Council carries out a strict and rigorous control of its actions and that its service is considering deciding the sanctions to be undertaken, if they are necessary and if they proceed, depending on each of the situations. "

In the words of the head of Parks and Gardens, "once again the Psoe shows his ignorance and makes clear his little respect for municipal services and technicians, because the only will of the socialists is to stop the action of the local government and block the investments that are being done by and for Murcia. "

"The Psoe cares very little for Murcia. It bothers him to see that the city is under construction and that the most important gardens of our districts are being completely renovated," says Guillen, adding that "it is very easy to criticize and destroy and very difficult to build. "

The mayor insists that the City Council has already required the winning company to complete the works.

It also adds- "the Parks and Gardens Service is analyzing the delays that may have been caused, depending on each case, to study the penalty, if applicable, or the need for an extension of the execution deadlines, due to the modifications included in the projects by the municipal technicians ".

"The works in which we are immersed are performances designed so that they can endure and for this we have to do things well, with all the pertinent measures and studying any of the circumstances that may happen, always thinking about the well-being of the neighbors" , says the mayor, who concludes that "we are changing Murcia, within a comprehensive plan of reforms that seeks to beautify beloved municipality, recovering its green spaces, improving our environment and, through it, improving the quality of life of Murcia ".
