In addition to the opportunity to represent Murcia in the National Contest of Skewers and Tapas, the winning venue will receive 1,000 euros and the concession of a specific space in the Gastronomic Fair of the Flowering of Cieza, Saborarte.
Specifically, the 'Top of the Year' can be enjoyed accompanied by a star of Estrella de Levante in this event, which will take place this week in the Plaza de España de Cieza, for 3.5 euros.
The development of the contest
The contest has been held at the ITREM Tourism Qualification Center (Tourism Institute of the Region of Murcia) during the last two weeks, where all the tapas have been tasted without the jury having more information than their origin.
Personalities from different fields have integrated this jury, such as Paloma Jáudenes, businesswoman in Little Moma, Alberto Cantúa, bassist of Viva Suecia, and Miguel Ángel Hernández Navarro, Murcian novelist.
The contest 'The Cover of the Year' was born thanks to the collaboration of Saborarte, the gastronomic fair of Cieza, and Estrella de Levante, in the framework of the celebration of Murcia Spanish Capital of Gastronomy 2020.
