López Miras attends the proclamation of the Holy Week in Murcia, by Inocencio Arias
The head of the regional Executive, Fernando López Miras, attended today the proclamation of the Holy Week in Murcia, by the diplomat Inocencio Arias, “with the enormous responsibility of highlighting the excellence, history and passion of a unique Holy Week as is that of Murcia, declared of International Tourist Interest â€.
López Miras stressed that Inocencio Arias is “a person delivered to the Region, who proudly takes our culture and our traditions wherever he goes†and valued the election of the Superior Council of the Brotherhoods of Murcia to name him a preacher.
He also noted that "we are already in the countdown" for the arrival of Friday of Dolores "which begins ten days in which the brotherhoods will travel the streets of the city, which will be filled with tunics, music and works of art of great quality".
The president also referred to the return of the Confraternity of Mercy to the church of San Esteban "to go out to the streets of Murcia on the afternoon of Good Friday."
"After several years of restoration of this space, finally, the brotherhood, coinciding with the 70th anniversary of its foundation, can recover a tradition as entrenched as it is to leave from San Esteban."
