The Councilor for Education and Infantile Schools, Belén López, visited this morning the Children's Traffic Park, in the Polígono de la Paz, where the students of 5th grade of Primary Education of the San José de La Alberca school were enjoying this activity, within the # MurciaMiCiudadEnseña program.
It is an initiative guided by local police in the facilities themselves with the aim of showing school children the basic rules and behaviors of traffic, accustoming them to their use, as well as creating attitudes of respect and citizen responsibility.
The initiative consists of two phases: first the students receive a theoretical class with contents on Road Education and then put into practice what they learned in the park.
“Our students have the opportunity to know in a very real way the importance of respecting the traffic rules, the use and driving of the bicycle, in addition to making decisions regarding the problems and dangers that may arise with the practice,†he emphasizes Belén López.
The 'Learn to circulate with us' activity is part of the educational program of the City Council # MurciaMiCiudadEnseña, composed of cultural outings, guided tours, shows and workshops, among other actions.
Specifically, a total of 3,603 students enjoyed this activity last year from 87 educational centers in the municipality of Murcia.
