The Councilor for Sustainable Development and Huerta, Antonio Navarro, visited this morning the works that Aguas de Murcia is doing in Zarandona in order to expand the sanitation network.
Thus, due to the lack of a sanitation network in most of the existing homes in the area, the expansion of the sanitation network in the Carril de los Blasetes and Calle Ramón Menárguez de Zarandona has been projected.
In this way, 18 homes in the area will have sewage service in the coming weeks.
Navarro explained that "with this action the quality of life of the inhabitants of the aforementioned population center will be improved, avoiding possible spills into public channels and enforcing the current legislation on wastewater discharge and purification".
The planned investment is 264,205 euros and also includes the installation of 17 new log wells and 3,043 m2 asphalt agglomerate.
The Action Plan involves the creation of 1,500 jobs
The action is part of the Plan of Actions of Aguas de Murcia 2015-2020, which is endowed with a total of 32 million euros, of which 70% of the works are executed or are in execution, which implies an investment of 21 million euros.
This Plan involves the creation of 1,500 direct jobs and includes a total of 63 projects.
62% of the actions correspond to sanitation improvement works and the remaining 38% goes to work in the supply network.
