The City Council, through the Department of Urban Agenda and Open Government, directed by Mercedes Bernabé, continues with the elaboration of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy.
Specifically, at this time, the UMU work team, headed by the director of the RSC-UMU Chair, Longinos Marín Rives, and the head of the RSC project in public administrations of said chair, María Dolores Abellán, is conducting personal interviews to all councilors and area heads of areas of special relevance and interest in their relationship with the subject matter of the project.
In this way, the strategy is in the phase of gathering information about what is done in CSR in the session, as well as the different strategic projects that are carried out, once two tables were held last December Working with both the councilors of the municipal corporation and with the heads of service of the different areas of the session.
These interviews are aimed at confirming and establishing competencies and actions, knowing about the areas of the departments and collecting information about weaknesses, risks, strengths, opportunities and main challenges with which to determine the starting point or diagnosis in this area.
“We continue the development of the Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, a process nourished by transparency and participation and that will turn our town hall into a role model of good practices both nationally and internationallyâ€, highlights Mercedes Bernabé.
The next step will be the consultation of the Social Council on relevant issues in CSR matters to incorporate into the report, for which a questionnaire will be passed to the directors of this body next March.
The CSR report of the City of Murcia will be reflected in four blocks, which are ethical and CSR approach (composed of 36 indicators), economic-financial information (31 indicators, social and contracting aspects (35 indicators), environment and sustainability (39 indicators).
The process will culminate with the preparation, publication and presentation of the CSR report of the City of Murcia of the year 2019, scheduled for next May.
