Different buildings and spaces in the city of Murcia will be lit yellow every weekend of the year on the occasion of the celebration of the Spanish Capital of Gastronomy.
The initiative begins this Saturday and Sunday, February 15 and 16, with the lighting of the Moneo building, the Almudí Palace, the Alfonso X promenade and Murcia Río from 7:00 p.m.
In this way, from this weekend, these places and buildings will be lit except for the dates indicated.
The City Council, through the Department of Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, promotes this action on the occasion of the celebration of Murcia as the Spanish Capital of Gastronomy.
A year with Murcian flavor
Murcia will be the Spanish Capital of Gastronomy throughout the year.
Thus, during 2020 the city will be the center of endless activities that will value products and the richness of regional cuisine.
Murcia and visitors can now enjoy the wine tastings that will take place every Thursday in the central office, located on the ground floor of the Romea Theater.
Also this week has begun with the project 'Bread Murciano' with the aim of recovering one of the products with more history of the Murcian recipe book, the traditional bread of Murcia, which is characterized by being made with wheat flour and hard.
Events of various kinds will be held in the coming months from tastings of typical products, idea forums and meetings with chefs from the Region, as well as the celebration of Mixtura, as a gastronomic showcase from around the world, in addition to activities in different parks and gardens from the city of Murcia.
