The City Council is carrying out several improvements in the district such as the renovation of the Plaza Antonete Gálvez and the Montegrande Park, which will mean a green lung for the town with the expansion of its green areas.
In addition, work is also being done on the rehabilitation of a space for the little ones with the incorporation of new play elements and street furniture.
"These actions will improve not only the aesthetics of the village, but will also involve two new recreation and recreation environments, full of vegetation and with different elements adapted to people of all ages," says José Guillén.
The City Council is carrying out various improvement actions in some of the public spaces, gardens and playgrounds of Torreagüera.
Thus, it highlights the remodeling of a recreation area, located on the main street, where the existing gerontogimnasia elements will be relocated and where the pavement renovation and rubber placement is being carried out.
Likewise, work is being carried out on the rehabilitation of a very close space for children's enjoyment with more play elements, street furniture, in addition to the renovation of the floor and the installation of a perimeter security structure.
Likewise, the Plaza Antonete Gálvez will be completely remodeled with a budget of 176,104 euros, within the Extraordinary Investment Plan in Pedanías, which coordinates the Department of Pedanías and Barrios in collaboration with the Department of Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration.
The works, which have already begun and will be planned for spring, contemplate both the renovation of the pavement and the gardening and urban furniture, turning it into a diaphanous, wide square with a pleasant aesthetic where neighbors can enjoy events, such as their festivities.
Also, the square will be divided into two heights separated by an ornamental source of reinforced concrete and a stainless steel railing.
Both surfaces will be accessible to people with reduced mobility through a ramp.
The space will be totally pedestrian leaving a space reserved for the parking of vehicles that will be paved with concrete.
"As for gardening, the existing trees will be respected and in addition the planting of new specimens and shrub species will be carried out to increase the green areas of the town and thus contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of citizens," he explains. the Councilor for Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, José Guillén.
The mayor points out that public lighting will be improved through the renovation of existing luminaires by more modern ones, which will be fully integrated into the square.
Montegrande Park Remodeling
Other actions that will be carried out in Torreagüera is the remodeling of Montegrande Park, where a series of improvements are proposed to generate an even more complete park.
The works, which have already begun and have a budget of 124,431 euros, involve the enhancement of the existing, the renovation of urban furniture, the revegetation of the entire garden, as well as the incorporation of a canine and recreation area picnic.
Thus, the central circle of the park will be divided into three areas with well-defined concrete uses through pieces of street furniture according to its functionality.
The enclosure will have a children's play area with new recreational elements such as high ropes and slide.
The park will increase its trees with the planting of new specimens and shrub species, which will provide an increase in biodivesity in the area, as well as natural shade spaces.
Another novelty will be the development of a large urban graffiti with typical Torreagüera motifs.
