The meetings will be held every fifteen days, in the next one the categories and strategic areas of action will be specified for the approval of this year's municipal budgets

The spokesman for Citizens, Mario Gómez, today held the first working meeting with the various spokesmen of the political groups - the PP has not attended - to establish the first guidelines for the creation of the first Strategic Grant Plan of the City of Murcia.

Work meetings will be held every fifteen days.

Specifically, the next meeting will take place during the second week of February to specify the various categories and areas of action of municipal subsidies and establish budget items for this purpose, in order to approve this year's municipal budget.

“This first Strategic Plan will have all the legal control mechanisms and budget provision.

For the first time, this City Council will regulate the distribution of subsidies, ”said Mario Gomez.

In addition, he explained that “its implementation will allow any association or collective of the municipality to opt for the allocation of the different municipal grants, without there being any arbitrariness that violates the principles of advertising, transparency, concurrency, objectivity, equality and not discrimination, efficiency in the fulfillment of objectives set by the Administration and efficiency in the allocation and use of public resources ”.

In this regard, the spokesman for Citizens has added that “he hopes to have the support of all the groups to move it forward.

Our desire is that the Plenary Session of the City Council approve it unanimously as it is a project carried out by consensus and with the participation of the different political groups ”.

Who will oppose a strategic plan that will regulate the entire allocation process and that contemplates economic and budgetary forecasts that help and benefit the groups and associations of our municipality? ”, Gomez has questioned.

Thus, he insisted that "it is a fundamental plan to promote public activity and promote citizen participation in all areas of action that meets the legal parameters established by the legislation and sets the appropriate mechanisms for prior and subsequent inspection" .
